For the team at Specsavers Wendouree, the secret to success is simple.  Provide the community with expert customer service and affordable yet stylish glasses. On top of this they offer all customers the latest in optometry technology, Digital Retinal Photography, free of charge with every bulk-billed eye exam.

They also make an impact in the community. Since opening in 2009, the Ballarat store, operated by the same owners, has raised over $7000 for the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute and $7000 for Fred Hollows, as part of the Specsavers Community Program. From September, the Wendouree store will also be partnering with both the local Ballarat charity and Fred Hollows.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons Specsavers Wendouree have been made finalists in the Federation University Business Excellence awards for 2017 in the Retail Business category. Store co-owner Jai Carroll says “We’re excited to be recognised for our commitment to the community and customer service, especially after only opening less than a year ago”.

The recipients of the awards are to be announced 23 August. Here’s hoping for a win!
