Help and frequently asked questions

What is a vertometer?

Answer:

This is a machine that takes a measurement of the prescription or power of your glasses. This is often used by the optometrist as a starting point in the eye examination to help the optometrist understand what glasses you have been wearing, how effectively they have been correcting your vision and whether the prescription was different when you had your previous sight test.

It helps the optometrist to decide whether or not to prescribe new lenses.
