Designed and built by leading manufacturers, they are packed with technology, cutting-edge innovations and, as all are digital, can be fine-tuned to meet your personal listening needs.
Our products range from a basic digital aid to the most sophisticated technology currently available and are suitable for all types of hearing loss.
At Specsavers, we don’t charge extra for smaller styles, and, impartial advice, fitting and aftercare are all part of our comprehensive hearing service.
Hearing aid styles
Receiver-in-canal
Receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids sit behind the ear and deliver sound directly into the ear canal via an unobtrusive wire and receiver. RICs are the most popular style of hearing aid due to their small and discreet appearance.
Behind-the-ear
Behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids sit behind the ear and deliver sound into the ear via a thin tube. The tube can either be channelled through a custom-made ear-mould or a discreet dome, which fits inside the ear canal.
In-the-ear
In-the-ear (ITE) hearing aids are the largest of all custom hearing aids and designed to fit the majority of the external ear cavity.
In-the-canal
In-the-canal (ITC) hearing aids are slightly smaller and designed to fit the lower third of the external ear cavity.
Completely-in-canal
Completely-in-canal (CIC) hearing aids are smaller again and are designed to sit inside the ear canal, making them very discreet. The CIC is popular among those with mild to moderate hearing loss. This option includes volume controls and buttons to adjust for environmental changes.
Invisible-in-canal
Invisible-in-canal (IIC) are the smallest custom hearing aids available, as they are designed to fit entirely inside the ear canal.

The Australian Government Hearing Services Program provides support and access to hearing services to eligible Australian citizens or permanent residents. This is a 15 minute appointment. If further testing is required in a longer appointment, a fee will be incurred. HSP approved customers receive all appointments at no charge to them.
+ Aftercare
Aftercare includes all fitting, maintenance and follow-up appointments for a 12 month period.
^ Batteries for 12 months
Customers will be provided with enough batteries to reasonably operate their hearing aids for a one year period.
~ 90-day satisfaction period
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase at Specsavers. If you have any concerns within the first 90 days of the date of your purchase we will put it right. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
