Help and frequently asked questions

What is retinoblastoma?

Answer:

Retinoblastoma is a rare, highly curable intraocular cancer of young children. It arises in the retina, hence its name. Over 95% of cases occur before the age of 5 years and can affect one or both eyes. Because the affected child is often too young to be aware of visual problems, cases often go undetected for some time, however retinoblastoma is highly curable if it has not progressed beyond the eye.
