My hearing sounds tinny and distorted with my new hearing aids, should I expect this and what do I do to fix it?
Answer:
At first, sounds may appear tinny or metallic as you are hearing sounds at a level you haven't heard for some time. The more you wear your hearing aids, the sooner your brain will adjust and the tinnyness will reduce. If things continue to sound tinny and/or distorted after wearing the hearing aids continuously for a few weeks, you can ask your audiologist to reduce the sharpness to make sounds more comfortable.
